A Wonder Of Mercy

kind forces nudged him awake,
just when he was to part once more
They somehow acted on Their own
a rare occurrence, indeed
what happened, here, is this:
They kept him alive for his mother's sake
she had passed her share of tests
thus, They granted her her wish
without even asking permission
and the troubadours, above, made a pact with Dawn

"this boy is one of us;
we must fill his hands with morning songs
this compact will deliver,"
They sang and sang

maps of harmony They were
