Mountain

by Darnisha Hudson

Like a mountain he held me up to view the world.
It was so pretty while it lasted.
But lighten struck.
And the next thing I know, I was rolling.
But somehow after getting hurt I still wanted to climb.
And nothing was stopping me.
I could still see the clouds up ahead.
It was ready for another round.
I knew what was going to happen.
But a part of me thought different.
As I was going to take it.
The same thing happen and my scars grew bigger for the whole word to see.
(I felt like a store item. If you break it you buy it. Which he did he broke all of me and somehow I felt as if I now belong to him)

ABOUT THE POET ~
I love to write, sing, and dance. What made me write poem was to express my feelings. I'm better on writing a free verse poem.
