homeless winter

by james edwards

Do you think about the people
Living on the streets
No soft pillow to rest their head
As they lay down to sleep
Wake up at 4am
Bodies shaking it's so cold
Fingers too numb to move
Frostbite on their toes
Clothes on their back to keep them warm
No bed to sleep inside
Prayimg for the summer
Hoping this winter they survive
So when you celebrate this christmas
And your gifts are under the tree
Remember those who have nothing
Remember people just like me
