Bottomless Bowl

“Bottomless Bowl”

by Joe Ortonio

Everyone on this earth owns especially bowl;
A thing where you place treasures of all.
Big and small hues welcome them all;
Come on, come on oh heavens threshold.

But there’s a problem owning a bowl;
If this hum sapiens doesn’t know to be grateful.
All he wants to acquire with no less gratification;
Get and get yet seems no satisfaction.

Oh, how pity the owner who keeps this bowl;
For nothing will bring except destruction.
Greed and selfishness consuming ones’ soul;
Nothing has left, missing and all have gone.

Even all the heavens and earth can’t make them full;
Because of the attitude that this creature owns.
Believing the fact that in reality was a lie;
I can compare the darkness of black hole.

What does this mean to own this bowl;
Like a useless thing hanging on fewer wall.
Now you know what I am saying to you;
Let’s call this thing a bottomless bowl
Whose heart is difficult to spot the raging bull.
