About Aaron Smith
Aaron Smith is an American poet. He is the author of four books of poetry: Blue on Blue Ground, Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2005); Appetite (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2012); Primer (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2016) and Blue on Blue Ground, winner of the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize. His most recent book is The Book of Daniel (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2019). His work has appeared in numerous publications including Ploughshares and Best American Poetry. A three-time finalist for the Lambda Literary Award, he is the recipient of fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Mass Cultural Council.
