About Austin Reece
Austin Reece, Ph.D., is a poet, translator, and faculty member at Western Governors University. He previously served as the Director of Therapeutic Arts at a Milwaukee non-profit, where he used literary art to support survivors of sexual violence, edited Untold Stories Magazine, and founded the Untold Stories Chapbook Series. His creative work has been featured in publications like ITERANT and Cathexis Northwest Press. Notably, his chapbook The Wake of Dreams was a finalist for the 2024 Two Sylvias Press Chapbook Prize, and his translation of Jens Baggesen's "Agnete fra Holmegaard" was a finalist for The Hopkins Review’s 2025 Anne Frydman Translation Prize.
