Daphne Gottlieb is a performance poet residing in San Francisco. She has received several awards, including the Acker Award for Excellence in the Avant-Garde, the Audre Lorde Award for Poetry, the Firecracker Alternative Book Award, and has been a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award five times. Her work has been described by critics as 'fierce,' 'unapologetic,' 'scorching,' and 'deliriously gutsy.' Gottlieb has authored ten published works, comprising five poetry collections, one nonfiction book, one graphic novel, one short story collection, and two anthologies. Her writings have been featured in various journals such as Utne Reader, Tikkun, Nerve, McSweeney's, Exquisite Corpse, and Instant City. Additionally, her contributions can be found in several anthologies, including Don't Forget to Write!
