About Deborah Ager

Deborah Ager is an American poet, essayist, and editor. In 2003, she co-founded the poetry magazine known as 32 Poems with poet John Poch. Ager completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland (B.A.) and pursued her M.F.A. at the University of Florida. She has released three books to date. Ager collaborated with John Poch and Bill Beverly to co-edit the anthologies Old Flame: 10 Years of 32 Poems Magazine (2012) and The Bloomsbury Anthology of Contemporary Jewish American Poetry (2013) alongside M. E. Silverman.
Her poetry has been published in esteemed journals such as New England Review, The Georgia Review, Birmingham Poetry Review, Los Angeles Review, North American Review, and Best New Poets 2006. Her manuscript Midnight Voices was recognized as a semifinalist for the A. Poulin, Jr. Poetry Prize in 2007 before being accepted for publication by Cherry Grove Collections. Ager is also recognized for her essays, with her nonfiction work featured in Narratively, The Week, and Modern Loss. She holds the position of CEO at Radiant Media Labs, a firm that aids industry professionals in crafting their stories.
