About Linda Hogan
Linda K. Hogan (born Henderson on July 16, 1947) is a poet, storyteller, academic, playwright, novelist, environmentalist, and short story writer from the United States. She has previously held the position of writer in residence for the Chickasaw Nation. Hogan has been honored with the Lannan Literary Award for Poetry. Her work spans multiple genres, including poetry, novels, short stories, and essays about nature. Additionally, she has contributed nonfiction essays to environmental groups such as The Nature Conservancy and the Sierra Club. In 2015, Hogan collaborated with Brenda Peterson on the book, Sightings, the Mysterious Journey of the Gray Whale, published by National Geographic.
