About Nick Drake

Nick Drake is a British writer and poet born in 1961. He studied at Cambridge University. He then worked for the BBC (writing scripts for television and films). He also published several poetry magazines. He edits Robert Graves' correspondence in Spain and adapted Lope de Vega's play Peribanez for the stage. His first novel, Nefertiti: The Book of the Dead, is a novel that combines Egyptian history and an investigation set during the time of Pharaoh Akhenaten, in which his wife, Nefertiti, disappears a few days before the inauguration of the new capital, Akhetaten, which he has just created. A young investigator recruited in Thebes is put in charge of the investigation.
