About Ruby Dhal
Ruby Dhal is a British-Afghan poet, writer and aspiring novelist currently residing in London, UK. As a young child, Ruby used books as a form of escapism from painful experiences of the real world. As she grew older she realised that books were meant to take her closer to reality and brought her at one with her true self. Through reading and writing poetry, she discovered herself and walked on a new path through which she learned about self-love and revival, and she then sought out to do the same for others. She started a writing page on Instagram in 2016, eventually becoming a popular Instapoet. She has written 5 books, including 3 best-selling books.Her passion for writing and revealing countless emotions for the world to share in has allowed Ruby to receive an endless amount of love and support from a generous social media following. Her first book was extremely well-received by her readers and her second book is an attempt to go further and allow her readers to take a new journey through love and heartbreak with the purpose of healing and discovering one’s true depths. When Ruby isn’t writing poetry she is working on her first novel which is based on many true events that have taken place in her life. More writing means more vulnerability. It means that people will find out stuff about me that they didn’t know before. Stories that I’ve hidden in the folds of my heart. Episodes in my life that I don’t speak about openly. It means turning back and diving into the past to move into the future.
