David Barber is an American poet, writer, and educator. He has published three collections of poetry Secret History (2019), Wonder Cabinet (2006) and The Spirit Level (1995), the winner of the Terrence Des Pres Prize. His work has been featured in numerous publications such as The Atlantic, The New York Times Book Review, The Boston Globe, the New England Review, Poetry, The Paris Review, The New Republic, Parnassus, The New Criterion, Slate, and Virginia Quarterly Review.
